” For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. – Isaiah 43:3-4
Format Change. Rather than just listing the questions below. We will provide a link to a PDF copy of each chapter each week. This link will only be available for a week. We ask that you consider purchasing the study guide to support the author.

” A quick deviated thought… The Devil/Deceiver/Accuser offers instant short term gratification. Gods way is long and isn’t often obvious instantaneously. It takes time for us to disciple/to understand God’s ways. The Kingdom of Heaven is not like anything man(human) perceives. It does not include (my) idea of good. It’s backwards and wild to our point-of-view; like loving the neighbor or person you despise!
The author makes a clear point under the Wellspring of Rest section. “Mary of Magdalene experienced Jesus’ rescuing power in her life. But being freed from demons didn’t automatically remove her difficult circumstances.” She still had to make the choice to continue towards Jesus the Christ/Messiah. She still had to struggle to overcome herself.
The series take on Matthew’s character is interesting. In the series he isn’t invited to Shabbat by anyone; however, it’s strange that he doesn’t invite others to his house for Shabbat. An interesting note, even though Matthew worked as a tax collector, there was nothing stopping him from putting the money back into the community. Food for thought… after paying your taxes, food expenses, utilities, etc… do you help the community with any of your left over? [Not a judgment, just something to consider!]
There are many interesting creative choices in this series. Of them, Simon’s choice to fish on Shabbat. While directing the chosen series, Dallas Jenkins held what he called a roundtable. These are honest back and forth reviews that include a Jewish Rabbi, a Catholic Priest, and himself. They are not available on Angel Studios but are available on the main Chosen website. https://watch.thechosen.tv/video/184683594409 – If you can spare 30 minutes, the discussions are honest. No punches are pulled!
